On October 23, 2020, Mr. Kajiyama Hiroshi, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Ms. Elizabeth Truss, Secretary of State for International Trade, United Kingdom.
On October 23, 2020, Minister Kajiyama held a meeting with Secretary of State Truss and exchanged views on future development of the Japan-UK economic relationship placing eyes on the Japan-UK Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement as well, which was signed on the date.
Moreover, Minister Kajiyama explained serious concerns that Japanese affiliated companies in the U.K. have over the UK’s departure from the EU and stated Japan’s expectations for smooth conclusion of the UK-EU negotiations on future relationships.
