Myanmar’s ruling Junta has announced that Mint Swar died at the age of 74 after the 2021 coup. He took office when the army seized power from an elected civilian government. Former high ranking officer was the vice-president, but the country’s D-facto leader Aung San Suu Ki and President Win Metint became the Figurehead President after detention in the coup.

He declared the state of emergency and gave full power to Senior General Min Aung Halling. He was on medical leave last July, given to the military leader with his duties.
