The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has been conducting the Best Contributors to the Product Safety Awards program with the aim of encouraging private enterprises to make a greater commitment to improving product safety as well as to firmly establish the concept of the value of product safety across Japanese society. METI hereby announces that it has selected 11 enterprises and organizations as winners of the FY2020 Best Contributors to Product Safety Awards.
The ceremony will be held on February 19 (Fri.), 2021, at the METI Main Building. Please note that the FY2020 ceremony will be attended only by the people related to the program as a measure for preventing the expansion of COVID-19. Members of the press are able to attend the event if they complete prior registration.
1. Outline of the awards program
METI has been holding the awards program since FY2007, aiming to honor companies’ pioneering efforts for product safety and thereby firmly establish product safety as a significant value in business activities and consumers’ daily lives as well as realize product safety across society.
