Winners of the Supply Chain Innovation Award 2020 Recognized

The Council for the Collaboration between the Manufacturing, Distribution and Sales Sectors, a body consisting of 52 member companies including manufacturers (manufacturing), wholesalers (distribution) and retailers (sales), whose secretariat is served by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), determined winners of the Supply Chain Innovation Award 2020.

Outline of the Supply Chain Innovation Award 2020

The Supply Chain Innovation Award is a program under which the council recognizes outstanding companies for their remarkable efforts and execution of leadership in their industries, aiming to optimize the entire supply chain, under the cooperation of the manufacturing, distribution and sales sectors.

The council called for applicants for the 2020 award program and received applications from 13 companies, including joint submission of applications. The examination committee for the award program determined one winner of the Supply Chain Innovation Award, three winners of the Supply Chain Innovation Excellent Awards, and one winner of the Special Award for Food Loss Reduction. Following this, the council recognized these winners for their remarkable efforts.

Outline of the council

The Council for the Collaboration between the Manufacturing, Distribution and Sales Sectors was established in May 2011. Through the collaboration between manufacturers (manufacturing), intermediate distributors and wholesalers (distribution), and retailers (sales), it aims to eliminate inefficient operations from every part of the nation’s supply chains and establish a system that creates new value, thereby enhancing industrial competitiveness and contributing to public prosperity. As of July 3, 2020, there are 52 member companies on the council.
